I’m Sumi — a Senior Product Designer focused on enterprise systems, human-centered logic, and scalable digital products.

I didn’t start in design. I graduated with an English major, where I spent years analyzing narrative structure, communication, and human psychology. That background taught me how people process information, how clarity drives comprehension, and how storytelling connects complex ideas.

At the same time, visual craft was a core part of my identity. I maintained a deep immersion in fine art, drawing, and illustration. Design wasn’t a sudden pivot — it was the natural intersection of my interest in structural logic and visual expression.

My career spans over a decade of hands-on product work. I’ve designed across every scale — from nimble startups and non-profits to complex enterprise environments like Oracle and consumer ecosystems like Mercedes-Benz. I’ve built cross-platform mobile apps, worked on set with production crews, and designed tools for complex data workflows.

That breadth taught me a fundamental lesson: enterprise UX isn’t about making screens look pretty — it’s about making high-stakes, data-dense systems effortless to navigate.

I work at the intersection of UX strategy, modern technology, and visual execution. My approach leverages a fast, modern workflow:

I’m not interested in just drawing interfaces. I design robust product ecosystems that scale.

🎨 Outside of work I’m a fine artist and digital illustrator at heart — visual expression is how I stay creatively sharp.

I’m currently based in Bangalore, India. Outside the screen, you’ll find me practicing yoga, long-distance cycling, running at dawn, or traveling to new places.
